Last night, we went on a little night walk around Last night, we went on a little night walk around Earlswood with the @2ndreigate cubs. It started off well, with the children map reading to locate different halloween themed points to plot. Before long, our maps were soggy and our toes were soaked! No one moaned. They chatted and laughed all the way round. Our cub leaders are amazing and always motivate the children to do their best, whatever the activity.

So it got me thinking. Who else is on a parent rota? We often help at football, cubs, or school. The amount of local humans who give up their time to provide for our children is amazing! We wouldn't have Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, the football team @horleyunitedfc and of course the many @powparentsof events organised at school like the school disco and Christmas events coming soon.

A big shout out tonight for all of the adults and young people making other people's lives a little bit better

What a lovely afternoon we had on Sunday. I was so What a lovely afternoon we had on Sunday. I was so happy for @iloveifold that the park was so busy, and the event was such a success for the community. The children visited me to make conker people and plant acorns to celebrate autumn treasures, as well as having a go in the hammock. Adults and children had a rest between digging to chat over a cuppa from @moorestcoffee The planted area and wool art looked amazing at the end! Well done everyone.

Yesterday, we went to Ashdown Forest, home of the Yesterday, we went to Ashdown Forest, home of the famous Winnie the Pooh stories. We parked at the visitors centre, which costs a reasonable £5 for the day. There's a cafe, toilets and information area inside there. We followed the temporary 'Mini clumps' trail, set up by @ashdownforest and had a fantastic walk!

I recommend taking a photo of the permanent route map, so you can see where you are as you wander. We walked out along the ridge first so that we could take in the amazing views and looked in the wooded areas filled with silver birch and oaks for the amazing fly agaric mushrooms, amongst many other awesome fungi. It was like fairy tale scenery ✨️ 🍄🌳💚

Look out for my fungi reel of pics soon!
