Do you have school chickens? We have a fantastic t Do you have school chickens?
We have a fantastic team of staff, parents and children who look after them, and they've recently had a home upgrade!
How cool is it that our students have the chance to raise chickens, learning about what they like to eat, how to hold them and generally the joy it is to have them around.

When we read The Little Red Hen, we even brought one over to be part of the story in Nursery.

Has your school got pets? I wonder what the most unusual ones are.

Did you wait for the sun to set before having a st Did you wait for the sun to set before having a stroll this week? 🌄
One of our favourite, most simple pleasures ... just walking and taking in nature for free!
He wasn't up for walking without a football, but once we were wandering down the track (cycle route 21), those football thoughts turned to looking at spider 🕸 webs and leaves catching the evening sun. It was lovely 1:1 time enjoying the last moments of the daylight and watching a deer in the field.

We had a look in a geocache that we haven't looked in for a couple of years, and it's had an upgrade. The dog wanted to check it out too! If you haven't tried @geocaching
in your local area, why not give it a try. Essentially, it's a treasure hunt for free (you can pay for an upgraded version) where you use an online map to find the caches. There's a log book hidden in a secret location and often a box with treasure - but only take something out if you put something in!

The past couple of weeks at Woodland and Craft Clu The past couple of weeks at Woodland and Craft Club have been all about connecting with nature, using gifts from the elder tree, and having fun rain or shine.

After harvesting the elder flowers and making cordial one week. To using our cordial as the liquid for our pancakes and eating those the next .... we thank the elder tree.

We've used dry, cut hazel to stick tap rhythms and work as a team to create a beat with some spoken words. Thanks to @andrewscullin for those music lessons... these children get the beat!

We've also rested on the grass and tried some yoga moves, looking up at the clouds shapes.

We hope you enjoyed the sunshine today! We had a l We hope you enjoyed the sunshine today! We had a lovely stroll at Reigate Heath. Parked at the free car park in Flanchford Road, just past the Black Horse pub turn left, and it's on your right.

Take a photo of the map - various routes, but listen out for 'Four!' and read the signs which way the golfers are going. You can do a woodland walk avoiding a lot of the actual golf course.
There aren't any facilities, so take your snacks and drinks.

Enjoy! 💚🌳 #reigate #reigateheath #reigateheathwindmill #gettingoutside #walksinsurrey #dogwalks #bestthingsinlifearefree #mothersontime #weekendwalks
